Charleston feels rich. Rich in money, color, and culture. It’s also both slow and busy at the same time. However, you really can get so much done in 8 hours or less. My top 3 favorite things to do in Charleston, when you’re on a time crunch includes: Eating (eating again), visiting Rainbow Row for pictures, and catching a movie!
First things first — you have got to EAT! This lovely city is for the foodie. Okay, listen, I will never NOT visit Fleet Landing in the heart of downtown and Acme Lowcountry Kitchen in the Isle of Palms. Guys, there’s a place called Isle of Palms. How lovely does that sound? And it is ever so lovely indeed. You can never be disappointed with the food here (fight me, I’ll make time lol). Seriously, it’s practically unheard of.
Then pictures…
Charleston is just so beautiful. It’s got that old world charm that makes you feel nostalgic of a time you never knew. Each side street has its own character, and it doesn’t matter how many times you visit, you’ll probably wind up taking the same picture. Each time, the picture getting closer to your naked eye.
I spent 8 hours in Charleston and you better believe I ate a big ol’ breakfast and then a big ol’ lunch — with a to-go order of gumbo.
In 8 hours, I managed to catch breakfast, lunch, cocktails, some great stills, 4 shots of free craft moonshine (I walked in at the right time, because—Charleston), and “Crazy Rich Asians.”
It was a beautifully rich day in Charleston.
