A mother’s love We are still at least a month or

A mother’s love

We are still at least a month or two out from Elizabeth (and mommy) being ready for her crib, but I just love this space. Creating something beautiful for her, fills me with so much joy and pride.

I had planned to do a 3-part series: the reveal ✅, mood board/sourcing/before and after, and a cost breakdown. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again - I had very minimal ideas, so I went into her nursery design a bit blind.

A year of gratitude

I can’t believe I didn’t cry making this. It’ll probably happen after I watch it for the 100th time 🤭.

We had a lot of “firsts” in this household this year. We loss some, but we won so much more. As I sit here as a first time mom, watching my babygirl smile in her sleep, I am beyond grateful. We kicked infertility’s ass like it had been kicking ours. In other words, We got our lick back 🤣 #iykyk

2025 was good to us, and I am claiming it now that 2026 will be even better.

So blessed…

These were supposed to be holiday card photos, but your girl is TIED. Running around trying to collect addresses and dealing with the post office just wasn’t in the cards (hehe) this year.

…and what a freakin’ year, yall! Every now and then, I think to myself “how is all of this real?!” To start the year off with back to back failed IVF cycles and egg retrievals, to welcoming a babygirl.

If you’re reading this, I hope you are having a wonderful holiday season. I hope that our story serves as a continuous reminder that things can always get better. That so much can change in just one year.

I cried watching this…

Yall, look at our baby’s nursery. our BABY! Folks would always say “I just know you have something fabulous planned” or “I can’t wait to see what you’ve planned.” To which I would respond “shooootttt, I can’t wait either.” Because I literally had NO PLANS. The only thing I knew was that I did not want a theme. I simply wanted classic or timeless.

Yall know the long story: 5 years of “infertility”, surgeries, countless failed IVF cycles. So when I write that I poured my heart into this room, this sanctuary, for our little girl — know that that’s putting it mildly.

There are pieces that I’ve had for years, waiting for the perfect spot. Pieces from 2 and 3 generations ago. Items from her grandparents that say “we’ve been waiting for you.”

Baby girl, you are a gift. Mommy loves you.
