I don’t do this often

This isn’t my normal content but I couldn’t NOT share my little experience at @artemuseum_lasvegas — it was so magical. It is always nice to do something that honors the little kid in me.

How was Vegas, you ask?

I primarily went for a professional develop conference that was AMAZING. I’ll share more on that a bit later, but let’s just say that there’s validity to needing a break from inhabiting white spaces constantly.

I was going to stay an extra day to “have fun.” I quickly realized I want to “have fun” at home 🤭.

As I get older, I become less and less inclined to travel solo. I recognize that Vegas is not a solo traveler city, so I’m not completely throwing away solo traveling, but for now, I’m headed home early lol.

Spring never has hands against winter, so my good sis needs a little help! And by “help” I mean a good lemonade recipe to usher in some consistent warm weather here in the south.

Strawberry Lemonade

- 1 cup fresh lemon juice
- 2 cups fresh strawberry juice
- 5 cups filtered water
- 1/3 cup sweetener (or much less, my fave is Equal)
- 1/3 cup fresh mandarin juice (not in video but trust me)

Makes about 8 servings of lemonade!

I’m shocked that no one has asked me about my weight loss journey. Sure it’s been commented on, but none of yall have really asked me how! And honestly, thank you for that. I’m both shocked and thankful that yall just let me get less fat in peace.

I go to the city sometimes

Listen, I’ve made my peace with the fact that I live OUTSIDE Atlanta. We are deep in the BURBS. But sometimes, I go outside (ie sometimes I go to Atlanta).

I was planning on taking one of my “peer turned friends” to an Atlanta staple but I wound up being early and after taking a quick sweep of the Village, I was glad I saw @carmelatl. Can you say - Did. Not. Disappoint? 😮‍💨

Apparentlllyyyy they’ve been around for almost a year or whatever, so I’m a bit late to the party (hey, what’s new 😉?!). Anywho, What a stunning place! Even happier I went on a Friday for lunch. I felt I really got to enjoy my experience.

A nice chat with the bartender and maître D about the place being named after the owners daughter after I inquired if the place is inspired by Carmel, California (I think it isa bit).

If you have a moment to step into the city, during a reasonable time of the week, do check them out. I enjoyed everything about my experience. I hope my lil video does it a bit of justice. I love it when a restaurant gets it right.🙏🏾
