3 months with me…

I’m back, yall. Mommy is trying to figure out where she wants to take itsbellmade, as she has fully leaned into making me her personality 🤭💁🏾‍♀️💁🏽‍♀️.

I’m now smiling all the time, cooing at all the things, and I develop a new sound every week. Example? My pterodactyl scream while I’m being buttered down after a bath. It’s ghetto — 0/10, do not recommend. I’m working on it because it makes mommy cry.

On a brighter note, I also grunt and tremble as she begins whipping out the nip nip. Both she and my daddy laugh, saying I look like Tyrone Biggums. Oh! And I’ve rolled over from stomach to back FOUR DIFFERENT TIMES.

Mommy says that the word “love” isn’t big enough.

Month 2 ✨

Mommy has an unhealthy obsession with my toe beans, but again, I don’t mind. She’s recently started asking me to “unhand her” when I nurse for too long — I don’t know what that’s about. Daddy has started calling me “Toot” and mommy says I’m going to lovvvveeee that when I get older.

I basically get most of my sleep between 10p and 10a, so I run my folks ragged during the day. Oh well, this is my world…they just live in it.

I’ve started really smiling and being more active, to my parent’s delight. Floor time is still real ghetto, but they INSIST (#sendhelp).

Creating from the heart 🤍

I'll share more about my design process, but it all started from scratch. "The Summer I Turned Pretty" was but one of many inspos, especially a hotel scene that had a room with board and batten. I'd scour antique stores like @queenofheartsantiques for unique textiles and decor. My decorating philosophy is simple: if I love it, I'll find a place for it.

Social media was overwhelming with luxurious nurseries, but we needed to be realistic. There were several conversations about what we could afford and Mitch may or may not have had to have a come to Jesus with me 🤭. But in the end, we set a budget and stuck to it.

I’m really proud of the way this space turned out. It was an exercise in trusting myself and my vision. Sometimes you just have to go for it.

What an adventure I never imagined that I’d miss

What an adventure

I never imagined that I’d miss being pregnant, but here I am. Missing the bump, the awe of it all.

Pregnancy was such a time of transition, growth, and profound beginnings. I am not sure that I’ve felt more beautiful, deeply woman, and magical.

My favorite memories are those of me being heavily pregnant, up at 2a rubbing my belly in an attempt to get babygirl to settle down. I’d sing to her, and tell her our story. It was most intimate and our time to bond.

Believe it or not, I almost didn’t take maternity photos. I am so thankful that I did. Having this moment captured in time is priceless.

My Valentine's Day weekend as a first-time mommy has been a dream! The house is (almost) spotless, Elizabeth is catching some Z's, and Mitch and I are about to continue binge-watching Mad Men.

None of this is perfect, all of it is worth it.
