Tasty Tuesday: Chia Seed Breakfast Bowl

Make a chia seed bowl with me for the first time. I’m trying to eat a bit healthier and I had a really delicious chia seed cup for breakfast last week, so I thought I’d try to make one at home.

Chis seeds offer a long list of important nutrients, including:

fiber
protein
manganese
calcium
antioxidants
omega-3 fatty acids

They’ve been found to help promote healthy skin, reduce signs of aging, support the digestive system and build stronger bones.

Recipe:
4 tablespoons chia seed
1/2 cup milk
Fresh strawberries
Banana
Sliced almonds
Granola

**prepare the chia seed and milk the night before, place in refrigerator**

This post is inspired by @xo_aprilj_xo — not too long ago she wrote something that really resonated with me about how if you’re not excited about getting dressed, then you’re not dressing for yourself. I read that just before leaving for Spain, and ended up repacking 3 suitcases because of it.

I want to remind you that you should dress and live in a way that makes you feel beautiful. Do THAT, and unapologetically. You don’t owe these people anything. But you, you owe yourself everything.
